Fun way to get started in Ireland ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This was lovely! The history session was very informative and fun, I got to ask all the questions I wanted to ask about the Ireland and the Irish but never got the chance before. I think it helps to bridge different sights and tours of the city together in a comprehensive way. :) Afterwards we stayed in the pub for some delicious food and live music and dancing. Evening well-spent!

Ireland Explained Over a Pint

Why are there two Irelands? Why does Irish history still matter today? And what exactly are Gaelic games?

Crash Course on Ireland connects the dots. Over two relaxed and entertaining hours in a historic Dublin pub, we take you from Ireland’s earliest settlers through Vikings, Normans, rebellion and independence to the modern Ireland you’re visiting today.

Along the way, we explore Irish politics, culture, sport, language and identity — with plenty of stories and time for questions.

No history lecture. Just Ireland explained.

“Best introduction to Ireland we had”
'We did the Crash Course on Ireland when we arrived in Dublin and it was the smartest decision of the trip. In under two hours we got a clear, entertaining overview of Irish history, politics, culture and even sport. It made everything else we visited afterwards make more sense. The relaxed pub setting in Meagher’s added to it—informal, fun, and genuinely informative. Highly recommend for anyone arriving into Ireland. ' Zabaria Peter

“Brilliant mix of history and craic”
This was exactly what we were looking for—something informative but not dry. Paddy and Colm  explained complex parts of Irish history in a way that was easy to follow and actually funny. The structure of the night worked really well, especially the modern Ireland section and the long history overview. Great atmosphere in the pub too. You come away feeling like you understand the country, not just the tourist sites.
